Gibbosaverruca weijiai, a new verrucid (Crustacea, Thoracica) species from the Weijia Guyot deep-sea seamount in the West Pacific

A new species of verrucid barnacle, Gibbosaverruca weijiai sp. nov., is described and illustrated based on specimens collected from a deep-sea seamount, Weijia Guyot, in the West Pacific. This third barnacle reported Guyot. The distinguished its congeners by extremely long caudal appendage. In terms shell morphology, G. nov. most similar to gibbosa sulcata but differs them intermediate articular ridges movable tergum scutum, which are distinctly wider than axial ridges. COI 16S rRNA sequences holotype presented support future research, key extant genus Young, 2002 provided.
